Happy Monday

I love this poem!

~ Forever Friends ~

Don't walk in front of me,
I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me,
I may not lead.

Just walk beside me and be my friend.

A real friend is someone who walks in
when the rest of the world walks out.

Forgiveness is the glue
that repairs broken relationships.

Nature has given to men one tongue
but two ears,
that we may hear from others
twice as much as we speak.

True friends are like diamonds,
precious and rare.

A friend is someone who knows
the song in your heart,
and can sing it back to you
when you have forgotten the words.

A friend is one who believes in you
when you have ceased
to believe in yourself.

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.
And I know that we will always be

~ Forever Friends ~

Have a nice day and a WONDERFUL week ahead!

Hugs :•)

It’s Saturday and on this day in history:
Thanksgiving Day Designated
1863 US President Abraham Lincoln designates the last Thursday in November as Thanksgiving Day
> > > Clint’s comment: The Thanksgiving Origins campaign was heavily driven by magazine editor Sarah Josepha Hale, who petitioned presidents for 15 years to establish a national recurring holiday. Although Lincoln designated the last Thursday of November, President Franklin D. Roosevelt later moved it to the fourth Thursday in 1939 to lengthen the holiday shopping season, which Congress officially codified into law in 1941.

It’s Friday and on this day in history:
The Tale of Peter Rabbit
1902 Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" is published by Frederick Warne & Co. in London
> > > Clint’s comment: Being a successful author is only a small part of what she achieved. On Beatrix’s death in 1943 she bequeathed fifteen farms and over 4,000 acres to the National Trust, including Yew Tree Farm, a gift which has protected and conserved this unique corner of the Lake District to this day… https://yewtree-farm.com/farm/
