I am a Starfleet officer born in 2271 and daughter of Captain Hikaru Sulu. At the rank of ensign, I served at the helm of the USS Enterprise-B, beginning in 2293, under the command of Captain John Harriman.

During the christening ceremony of the Enterprise-B, I met Admiral James T. Kirk for the first time. He assured me that he was glad I was there, saying "It wouldn't be the Enterprise without a Sulu at the helm".
