Steven 'Bull' Ratkovich, mayor ofNew Bulltopiaover 15 years agoSuggestions to help you not burn out too quick (No money and no Happiness = dead city). 1) Bump Tax Rate to about 30%. Your happiness doesn't drop too rapidly, and you'll start making decent income. 2) Let happiness drop to 40-50%, then buy Houses to start with. They're expensive, and they get more epxensive as you buy more. But if you buy 10 at once, you buy all for the current price. If you buy 10 but one at a time, each purchase goes up in price. 3) From their, balance making money and keeping your happiness up. Avoid the stuff that costs you money for now, least till you have a halfway decent income coming in. 4) Populate your connections (They're worth 5 people when you do), use the "get people to populate my city" feature, which costs a minimal fee. That usually will net you a few people. Also, return the favors when you can. Eventually, you'll end up with more jobs available than you have population, at which point you have trouble increasing your income. :) WHeee 2 Posts Available
