I'd suggest selling the parks, they cost you money and you can get the culture you need to unlock stuff by buying private schools which produce revenue. When you've got some good cashflow going (through pizzerias, cafe's, bistros, apt buildings) buy a few horsemen to unlock more buildings. You can replace them with revenue producing landmarks. Whlie private schools are good at first keep in mind they are horrible revenue producers at $20/employee. To make more money, concentrate on businesses that give you the best revenue per employee while you can buy them at the best revenue/cost. The forums have the best tips on getting going in the game at whatever strategy you want to play the game. Have fun! :)
