David Roland, mayor ofParatopiaover 16 years agoJust a thought... You're happiness is at 0% you may wish to either lower your taxes or play more often or some combination of both. If your happiness is under 20 that is bad! People stop paying taxes. High taxes leads to lots of happiness being lost quickly. I use 20% myself but use what works for your playing style. You can raise happiness rather quickly if you go to your mayor tab and set to no population and THEN spend $1,000 to ask other mayors to populate. Once you get above a safe threshold (say at least 40%) you can do stuff. Buying happiness isn't easy when you're first starting out. Try to keep your Education, Health and Fire indexes at or above 1.0 and your Crime index under 1.0 Come look at my indexes and you will see they are very healthy. Wish I could send you money as that would help bunches. If you haven't used your favor points with the president, I suggest getting your happiness over 20% and spend your points to get money the first time. If you have lots of points (as can happen when the developers throw some out for free due to problems experienced) but a few hundred thousand dollars, then buy people, then buy LOTS of money if possible.
