You were at 0% happiness so I advertised your city on the main wall to try and get some smiles over here. Keep in mind that the higher you set your tax rate, the faster your city happiness will drop. For instance, 40% taxes will earn you the most money possible but it also gives you only 6 hours to stay above 20% happiness; once you dip below that, your citizens 'riot' and you begin to lose money. The guide that Anders posted below is a great way to learn the ropes. Good luck and have fun! :-)
