Anne Thompson, mayor ofRetreat To Godover 15 years agoThe other way to connect with cities is through the population feature. If you post yourself on the list, people with pop or ent for you. It's well worth it. And the more you rtf to the same person, the more your percentage goes up or the more population you send. So, connect with lots of people regularly and it is well worth it.
Anne Thompson, mayor ofRetreat To Godover 15 years agoThe only way to connect with another city, is if they are your friend. So, to connect with someone you don't know, first you click on their picture, then you offer a friend request- usually with a message requesting to join you on a certain game, and sometimes listing any other games you would like more help with. For example, I'm also on Zoo builder, Pirates, Star Trek Fleet Command, WWII, Top Restaurant, to name my more active ones. Once you are friends, you need to offer them an invite, or them you. Sometimes people run out of invites, then you message the other to send you one. One thing I do, and I strongly recommend that people do this, is to go into your privacy settings. If you create a friend list just for connections, you can go into your settings and determine exactly what these strangers will see of your personal stuff. I have everything turned off- if you offer me a connection and I accept it, all you see is my picture and the games I play, and maybe a couple things that didn't seem important. If you use a list, when you offer the friend requests, you can add them to the list immediately, so there is no opportunity for someone to see your stuff. Snoop in the settings, and make sure you aren't letting out private information unless you want strangers knowing that about you.
Anne Thompson, mayor ofRetreat To Godover 15 years agoOuch! looks like you've had some struggles, or just aren't on often. If you'd like some helpful hints, write on my wall and I'd be glad too. My first suggestion would be to increase your revenue- you've got alot of upkeep for where your at. I'd suggest you turn off your population, increase taxes, and buy items high in revenue and low in upkeep. That will get your money coming in faster so you can buy more stuff and get on to the cool stuff in the game. Remember to keep your population under 2000 until you have something to address fire, crime, health and education, or you'll run into problems later.
