Hi Darren, Welcome to Metro. It's a year since i was a complete noobie and the game has changed a lot since then so I've set myself up another city to teach myself what its like to be new, but with what I know now. Here's what I've figured. ;-) Main thing is to buy items that dont use too many employees to start with. Buy land for revenue. Some houses. Whatever you do dont buy factories until you are well over the 2000 employees and you have enough people to fill them. Dont rush into landmarks either. Wait till you've got some reasonable cashflow. POP. If you want to build up fast then pop everyone in the TOP100 list. They are all gold members so if you keep popping them you will be guaranteed to get return for your pop. You also build up a nice history with them and many top players watch that when they are looking for connections. Remember that after 2000 people your index's are affected by your pop so at times you may not want to grow too fast. Use the links Caroline and Julie gave for hints from the people who have really studied these things. And mostly HAVE FUN. :0)
